Aleks Evdokimov ( metallibrary.ru ) caught up with those groove rock specialists, Castero for a interview. A nice bit of timing with the new album "Consequence Of Thoughts" still pretty fresh from the pressing plant. Blending Southern Rock, dirty Stoner Grooves, Doom Metal and straight out kick ass Metal, Castero are a high octane, groove laden, well - oiled machine these days. The new album is a giant step forward as a band, not that they were not already kicking major butt before but they have reached a whole new level with the new disc, both in musicianship and songwriting. With this new interview, Aleks gets a good insight into how the band works, their history and all their recordings. The interview is with guitarist and vocalist Johnny Mac.

Wonderful start, first-class, full of hits material, a perfect score and no doubt receive it! Tools heard one, and each of them individually performs its function as it should be. Johnny's vocals - strong side of the game musicians - are beyond praise, and songs enough, the songs are different, although structurally similar and sound of the album in general harkterno (do not forget about the "Groove" chip Castero). If the organism "Consequence of Thoughts" to reveal and put into jars and shelves all of its segments, then we know they definitely part of the well-known to many, is it the signs of different formations that existed in the rock-space at different times. But vivesektsiya - Science of Science! Musicians Put all of this is so nice and neatly, that the birth of a monster to say it would be improper, the body Castero develops normally, it is viable, it still shows!
10/10

Each and every song on this album has something to recommend itself. The playing on all three instruments is extremely tight, the songs are catchy and very headbangable and, even if its not exactly original, I think youd be hard-pressed to not find something to like in this album. One of the highlights of 2010 so far.
9/10

The solo's on this album truly are monumental and the tightness at which the band plays really make the songs what they are. It is really hard to find anything not to like about "Castero", they are hardly original or ground-breaking but the passion and drive that are in these songs make it impossible to get out of your head. The riffs are indestructible, the solos are incredible and the production is big and meaty. This is a great release that is due out in April, seems like there is something in the air in Ireland that is producing so many killer bands these days and Castero are without a doubt one of the best. 9/10
